Yes, the rules! Sorry but we've gotta have them! They're just to keep the roleplay flowing smoothly. If you're confused or concerned about a rule, be free to send me a PM. Also if you feel I've missed something, be free to mention it!

FORUM RULES

• Do not curse or swear too harshly please. Keep it very low! "Making up" your own swear words is generally okay, as long as they are not related to any real ones. (Oh fiddlesticks; Horseradish!; Blast it!, etc.)
  

• Respect staff and members alike! Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
  

• This goes without saying: don't spam or use unnecessary bright colors or hard-to-read/small fonts. Your post will likely be changed.
  

ROLEPLAY RULES

• No powerplaying, heromodding, being perfect, all those standard RP rules. Your character can think they're perfect, but cannot never die or never get hurt. Be realistic please If you're still confused by this, PM me. Bascially, this rule means:

    1. Do not control another character.

    2. Do not force another character to do something if their owner doesn't want them to.

    3. Do not kill or seriously/permanently injure someone's character without their permission.

• It's a completely member-driven roleplay, so the story can go wherever. However, do not create any drastic/huge story-changing events without asking me about it first. I'd love to hear your plot ideas though, so be free to hit me with 'em!
  

• Do not read character's minds. If someone roleplays that they agree to, say, go with you to the pond, but they made it clear their character didn't want to in their thoughts, suddenly understanding they don't want to go is impossible in real life, therefore not allowed.

• You must speak in third person when roleplaying. Do not use "I", use your character's name. Also speak in past tense; "he walked through the door", not "he walks through the door".
  

• Give your character a fairly realistic or real name. Nothing like Ghasiolopesy Zxuimo is allowed. However, real names (Peter, John, etc) and names like Fatho Gamones is acceptable.
  

• You may create as many characters as you can handle. There is currently no limit. However, Canons/High Ranks is a maximum of 2.
  

• You can create a character with a deformity or disability.
  

• Take turns roleplaying. E.g if there are four active people in a thread, take turns posting and replying. Don't just keep posting between you and someone else and leave the other two in the dust, unless they have been inactive or their character put for adoption.
  

• We currently do not allow Liquid Time. You may be in only one place at once, unless your partner has been inactive or their character put for adoption. Then you are free to create/join a new thread.
  

• Make it clear when you're exiting a thread or preforming an action. Among your character's thoughts should be clear text when they are speaking, preforming an action or merely thinking. If you're leaving a thread, write something like [charactersname has left the thread].

Roleplay Information & FAQ

Here's some extra information you should know about LOT.

1. We allow canon characters, but do not rely on them! While we do allow a few canons, we'd rather be member-driven roleplay with original characters.

2. Link is long gone, so his one-of-a-kind items are too. You cannot use the Hookshot, Gust Bellows, Hover Boots, etc. However, items that aren't one-of-a-kind are still around - bow & arrows, bombchus, etc.

3. We are a Majora's Mask roleplay, but Skull kid and Majora and the moon are gone and will not return. However, it's only been five years since that happened, so it's quite fresh in everyone's minds. (That reminds me of the moon falling down...)

4. Please have general Zelda knowledge before joining! This is one reason why I did not describe all the races and places in detail. However, I'll explain it to you if you'd like - just send me a PM.
